Catholics Come Home Adult Formation Series in Lent

There are 19 parishes that will hold a Series of Adult Formation evening meetings during Lent. Each session will focus on a common question about our faith:

  • What do I mean when I say I believe? What is the connection between Jesus and the Church?
  • How do the Sacraments put us in contact with God? Why does the Church put such emphasis on Sunday Mass?
  • How does faith make a difference in dealing with the “tough stuff” of life – suffering, death, evil, and sin?
  • What is prayer? Why do Catholics pray to Mary and the saints?
  • Why are marriage and sexual morality so important in a Catholic faith perspective?
  • What does it mean to live in this world (citizen, worker, parent) as a believer?

Call at 312-534-5316 or check the website www.CatholicsComeHomeCHICAGO.org for all the parishes locations, dates and and time.

Remember even though the TV ads have ended we can continue to invite
our Catholic brothers and sisters to come home!

There are 20 million Catholics in the United States who no longer practice the faith or do so sporadically. This is in addition to the 70 million Catholics who are more active. In fact, if one takes the number of those who have drifted away, it adds to the second largest religion in the United States; practicing Catholics being the first. Amazing, isn’t it, that so many have drifted away? We need to invite our brothers and sisters to join us! While ads might help, nothing is more effective than a personal invitation. Invite someone you know to come back home to the Catholic Church.

We encourage our parishioners to pray for those who have left the Church and invite them to join us at Saint Celestine. Parishioners can open and print this BROCHURE to be used as an invitation for those who have drifted from the practice of the faith.

We lovingly invite all those who have drifted away to come home, to find healing, answers and support. Please contact Barbara Mares at 708-453-2555 for more information.

The Office for Evangelization in Chicago has created a webpage devoted to Catholics Come Home - www.CatholicsComeHomeCHICAGO.org. This is the place to find facts, photos, and resources specifically for parishes in the Archdiocese.
